“Attending the New England Choral Institute not only helped me to improve my musicianship and technique, but it nurtured me as a whole person. I enjoyed working with such passionate, knowledgeable and invested instructors, and I formed strong bonds with my fellow participants in a positive and supportive community. You would be hard-pressed to find another summer program that offers such a high level of personal attention and such a variety of experiences at such a low price.” – 2017 Participant
The New England Choral Institute at the New Hampshire Music Festival is a one-week intensive for singers and conductors built around the preparation and performance of Leonard Bernstein’s MASS.
All participants will sing in the chorus for the culminating performance of Bernstein’s MASS with conductor Dan Perkins and the New Hampshire Music Festival Orchestra.
Auditions for the Institute are required either in person or via an electronic submission.
New Hampshire Music Festival Choristers may sing the Bernstein without attending the Institute.
