The New Hampshire Music Festival is excited to announce a new partnership with the Pemigewasset Choral Society for the opening Classics concert of its 2025 Festival season! On Thursday, July 10, 2025 the two organizations will join forces to form the NHMF/Pemi Festival Chorus and perform Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria RV 589 under the baton of the Pemi Choral Society’s Music Director William Gunn.

Choral works have been a cornerstone of the New Hampshire Music Festival’s history, and we are thrilled to revive this long-standing tradition in 2025 with the support of the Pemi Choral Society.

Gloria, Vivaldi’s most famous and celebrated choral work, sets the traditional Latin Mass in twelve vibrant cantata-like sections. Composed around 1715, the piece stands out for its exuberant and sunny energy, rich orchestration, and striking contrasts between full chorus and soloists sections. This is a performance you won’t want to miss!

We invite all members of the community to participate in the NHMF/Pemi Festival Chorus. For information on the rehearsal schedule, singer expectations, and to sign up to join the Festival Chorus, please fill out the form below. The Pemi Choral Society will be providing communications to all singers.
