AUDITIONS

Auditions:

June 1st: 5:30-8:30pm at the Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ in Plymouth, NH
(Please email [email protected] if this date doesn’t work for you!)

Once you’ve completed this form, individual schedules for the audition will be sent to you via email. You will not need to be present for the entire audition time. Virtual Auditions will be scheduled and sent out with a ZOOM link.Please see video submission details if you prefer to submit a recording for your audition.

Double chorus and divisi parts will be assigned once auditions are completed.

 

Choral Score

The Schott Vocal Score is best.

If you already own and are comfortable with the Choral Score instead of the Vocal Score, that is ok, but not preferred. Please avoid the editions that are separated by Sop/Alto and Ten/Bass!!!

 

Audition Expectations:
1) Please prepare the excerpt of the folk song, “To the sky”.  You may choose either the low key or the high key.  Both keys are attached.

2) Be prepared to read through the following excerpts for your voice part in the audition.  Sopranos are encouraged to audition for the Treble/Small Chorus in addition.
Soprano: 
Mvt. 1 – measures 1-12
Mvt. 5 – measures 20-38
Alto:
Mvt. 1 – measures 1-12
Mvt. 9 – Chume, chum Giselle min – measures 5-12
Tenor:
Mvt. 5 – measures 1-13
Mvt. 14 – measures 1-16
Bass:
Mvt. 2 – measures 1-16
Mvt. 14 – measures 1-12
Treble/Small Chorus (This will be a subset of sopranos):
Mvt. 7 – Rehearsal #50 “Eia quis me ambit?”
Mvt. 15 – Part labeled “Ragazzi” – measures 13-24
