BartókMiraculous Mandarin Suite

Liszt – Hungarian Rhapsody No. 9

The exciting Roman Carnival Overture by Berlioz provides an opening shot of adrenaline. The warm, essentially lyrical Mozart follows featuring Frank Cohen, the former Principal Clarinet of the Cleveland Orchestra. Béla Bartók’s Suite from the Miraculous Mandarin ballet gives the orchestra a workout. The concert closes with Liszt’s cheery Hungarian Rhapsody Carnival in Pest.
